The 2021 WNBA MVP reportedly asked to be traded specifically to Big Apple.

In her MVP season, Jones averaged a double-double, putting up 19.4 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.

Jones has never won a championship but has averaged 13.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game throughout her career.  The 6-foot-6 forward will bring a strong interior presence to a New York team that was eliminated by the Chicago Sky in the first round of last year’s WNBA playoffs.

Last season, Jones led the Sun to a 26-11 regular season record, as well as a trip to the WNBA Finals. Connecticut was defeated in the championship series by the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces.
