The Titans have batted away rivals to lock up Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and David Fifita on deals worth an estimated $15 million, inking the State of Origin representatives to long-term contracts just several weeks after they became free agents.
Fa’asuamaleaui has signed a contract that ties him to the Gold Coast club until the end of 2033, while Fifita has committed until the end of 2026.
The re-signings come almost two months after the Titans axed Justin Holbrook and appointed Des Hasler to the head coach role in the same swift move.

Hasler, Fa’asuamaleaui and Fifita are crucial pieces of the Gold Coast jigsaw as the club aims for sustained success after more than a decade of underwhelming results.
“We’re thrilled that both Tino and David have re-affirmed their commitment to the club,” Titans chief executive Steve Mitchell said.

“These are two great young men, talented footballers and important players for us as we work towards our goal of bringing premierships to the Coast.
“Both Tino and David have already made an impact in their time here, and as a club, we’re excited to see what they can achieve in our jersey over the coming years.”
The re-signings of Fa’asuamaleaui and Fifita were announced just before the Titans’ Friday night clash with the Sharks in the Shire kicked off.
Fa’asuamaleaui celebrated his fresh deal in style, skipping onto a Tanah Boyd pass and beating two defenders, including Nicho Hynes, to score a try in the 22nd minute.
In June, Darren Lockyer urged Fa’asuamaleaui to repay the faith the Titans had shown him.
“They took a risk in making him captain so early. They believe in him, they’ve invested in him,” Lockyer said on Wide World of Sports’ QLDER.
“For me he feels like the type of player who wants to be the leader at that club and stay there for a long period of time … I’m sure that he feels he is the type of person that feels that he owes the Coast.”
