Blackhawks’ Kane confirms his return to lineup vs. Kraken

After participating in Saturday’s morning skate, Patrick Kane confirmed he’s expecting to play as the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Seattle Kraken.

While Kane, 34, only missed the Blackhawks’ last three contests as he dealt with a lower-body injury, he told media it felt like he’s been away for “three months.”

The team put Kane on IR Friday but it was retroactive to Jan. 3 making the winger eligible for Saturday’s game.

Drafted by Chicago first overall at the 2007 NHL Draft, Kane has spent 16 years with the franchise. He’s recorded seven goals and 20 assists in 37 games so far this season.
